Превышение спроса над редложением при данной цене. Рассмотрим график. На рынках свободной конкуренции такая ситуация вызывает повышение цены до равновесного уровня Ре. Если цена регулируется государством, избыточный спрос может сохраняться долгое время. См. Equilibrium market price, Excess supply, Price control.
